Monsieur Jules Elie peony (Crousse, 1888)  Rose pink double style peony flowers. Broad, smooth guard petals with a crown of petals on top. 

An old fashioned French peony. Great cut flower. May need support in the garden. When cut in bud stage and opened out of the sun, opens with a lavender pink color. 

Heirloom peony. Fragrant.  Mid-season. Height: 36". Lactiflora peony.
