'Bess Bockstoce' (Bockstoce, 1955) peonies have a lovely fragrance; soft, yet bright pink petals and a distinctively tight packed center. The fragrance is amazing and the flowers retain their color. A favorite peony on our farm, Bess Bockstoce is sought after for it's beauty and rarity.
Not too many years ago, this one was often confused with and sold in the industry as Rose Heart, which is another fabulous peony. Growers around the world are now getting the two distinctively beautiful peony varieties properly marketed, although there still remains some confusion.
